Requirement profile

PCBs must be transported over a long way by belt drive. An open construction is needed since different systems must access the PCB. A high rigidity is demanded. Vibrations are forbidden. The width adjustment for the different plate sizes must happen fully automatic. High accuracies of the linear races are necessary in order to avoid a blocking of the plates during transport. An abrasion with the contact surfaces must be prevented. Particularly with a use of several parallel assemblies a increased system accuracy is needed. The entire building group must be clean room suited. Function and quality assurance ensured by the supplier.

Solution

With a base/bridge construction and preloaded Linearways the full accessibility without additional disturbing supporting column and the desired rigidity as well as accuracy were realized . The linear ways are abrasion-resistant implemented and equipped with a special surface coating. The automatic width adjustment is realized over linear positioning tables with integrated ballscrew and directly mounted stepping motor drive. Diverse manipulators for the plate are operated by compressed air and evacuated systems. All movements and positions are supervised by contactless sensor technology. For the supervising control and monitoring of all functions a CAN bus system is in use. Bearings, ballscrew and linearways are lubricated with appropriate clean room grease. The assembly is furnished for parallelism and angularity and examined to 100%. A function control as well as examination of compressed air -, vacuum and sensor technology systems by application identically sequencing program with 100% of all assemblies simulated and tested. The test results are attached at each delivery without exception.
